This window system, known as the BlockSystem (BS), is the ideal choice if you prefer the maximum area of glass and thus use every centimeter for sunlight and the perfect view.
The narrowed sashes are hidden and account for a tiny fraction of the frame ensuring only the glazing is visible. In terms of appearance, this system is both for inside and outside design and structural integrity. From the exterior side, the outer layer of insulation and plaster can be led to the edge of the frames. The resulting effect is that the number of visible aluminum frames is minimized leaving you with only visible glazing.
A nice side affect, is that when compared to the Schüco 90.SI + system with a standard sash, is the reduced thermal permeability of the frame (Uf unit) and thus even better thermal insulation results can be achieved.
The investment in this system is definitely worthwhile, as these aluminum windows meet the highest requirements for thermal insulation in passive houses. Compared to the classic variant, the entire system is equipped with one additional sealing level as a standard feature, and the windows therefore achieve a perfect seal. The maximum dimensions of one section are 1.7 m wide and 2.4 m high. Thus, a high structural integrity level is ensured.
